Sungoddess Energy Healing is a small Black, queer, woman-owned, small business dedicated to raising the collective vibration on planet Earth, one person at a time.

Sungoddess completed her 200hr certified yoga teacher training in 2022 from I’m So Yoga Newark, received level 2 Reiki attunement and training from the NYC POC Healing Circle in 2025, and has been a self-taught tarot and oracle reader since 2019.

Sungoddess works by connecting with each client to understand their unique needs and reflects back a healing frequency using one or all three modalities, depending on needs and desires.

What’s the story behind the name Sungoddess?

A local elder, affectionately known as “Unc” gave her that name one day because he said whenever he sees her, he hears the song “Sungoddess” by Ramsey Lewis featuring Earth, Wind & Fire.

Sungoddess took the nickname first and foremost because it’s a dope track. But secondly, because she felt the name reflected her energy and impact. The sun is one of her favorite things, and throughout her life, her effect on people and spaces is akin to the sun's. That is, she is bright, strong, offers clarity, and insight effortlessly in a bold yet nourishing way.

She is both masculine and feminine.

Light and dark.

Creative and receptive.
